Patrick Schmitt

Patrick Schmitt was a faculty member for sixteen years before he became an administrator in higher education. He has been Dean of the Campus for University of Wisconsin-Waukesha since January of 2006. Dr. Schmitt’s degree is in theatre, from UW-Madison. He has worked in that field as an actor, a director, a producer, a playwright, and a dramaturg (literary advisor). Before coming to Waukesha, he served on a non-profit board in South Cook County for an organization that specialized in teaching parenting skills, and is an ex officio member of the UW-Waukesha Foundation Board. He has two daughters; one is in high school, the other is in college, majoring in linguistics.
